My name is Yu, known as BG2FX on the amateur radio bands. I am a collector of vintage test equipment, and most importantly, a designer of amateur radios.
I previously designed and sold the FX-2, FX-4a, and FX-9A. The FX-2 and FX-4a were distributed by LNR Precision and were popular among Summits on the Air activators and other portable operators.
My current project is the FX-4C, an 80 m through 10 m transceiver that fits in the palm of your hand. It is well-suited for digital mode operation with an internal sound card for connection to a computer with a single USB cable, and a 20 kHz waterfall display. I am always developing and improving my radios, so please check back occasionally to see what new projects I am working on.
