Firmware Updates

FX-4CR Firmware

The FX-4CR has three hardware versions, each with its own firmware version. 

BEFORE UPDATE: Check firmware version during boot-up of FX-4CR to determine if you have "VR" or "V" or "R" hardware.

TO UPDATE FX-4CR, follow firmware update instructions in the PDF manuals. 

AFTER UPDATE: for voice transmission in SSB mode and AM/FM voice transmission, you may need to re-adjust power：

1.) Connect dummy load 

2) Set operating mode to CW-M 

3) Set the output power to 5W 

4) Press PTT until the output power indicator is 5W. 

5) Repeat for each band, the power calibration is completed. 

This is automatic calibration, one operation for each band 

TO UPDATE FX-4CR, follow firmware update instructions in the PDF manuals attached below the firmware files. 

AFTER UPDATE: for voice transmission in SSB mode and AM/FM voice transmission, you may need to re-adjust power：

2) Set operating mode to CW-M 

3) Set the output power to 5W 

4) Press and hold PTT and turn AF/VOL knob to adjust power to 5W.
